"The impact bewildered fitness/CrossFit Bothell, now Wildwoods, made... started with my initial phone call. Coach Daniel the Owner took the time to be curious about what I was looking for from a holistic approach: Physically, community wise, and my previous journey. From the call to the process of signing up and going through my first 3 months it was intentional. Intentionally checking in on the person, not just how many days you came, but how the sleep was, nutrition, stress levels, and things that impact the workouts.
The way the programming was designed was a game changer for me. There's a lot of chatter about CrossFit/strength & conditioning and injuries. Having coaches who were there to help dial in technique and teach, who believe in you more than I did myself, and who championed me throughout was everything.
The community was upbeat and positive. They greeted me when I came in and fist bumped when I left. For me it wasn't just loving the workouts but making friends in class. "My time at Crossfit Bothell (now Wildwoods) was brief, 3 months and then the gym moved up to Bellingham. This was the first time in my life I was going to a gym and working out. Given where I started and the progress I made when graduating from the ROOTS program, it was very satisfying. I had lost 23 lbs, my clothes fit better, and I felt way happier than usual. "I was training with Daniel and his coaches for more than two years at CrossFit Bothell. I started doing CrossFit in 2018 after eleven years working with a personal trainer. I am not a newbie in fitness. It was my third CrossFit gym, and it was definitely the best fit for me in terms of programming, coaching experience, and the results. I was making steady progress without injuries. I am 65 and still keep getting stronger. The other clients who put in effort and trained consistently had great results as well.
